We are the controller for the personal data described in this policy.
What this site collects
Very little. The site sets no cookies, and the contact form only sends us what you type into it. We count visits to some pages with GoatCounter, which records no personal data (see Hosting below).
If you email us
If you email info@vertexstudio.tech, we keep your name, your email address and your message so that we can reply, and to run any work that follows from it.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log visitor IP addresses for security. See GitHub's privacy statement for how GitHub handles that data.
The contact form is delivered by Web3Forms, which acts as our data processor for form submissions. When you send the form, your name, email address and message pass through Web3Forms' servers to reach our inbox and are not used for anything else. We use GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count visits to some pages. It sets no cookies and does not collect personal data. See GoatCounter's privacy policy for how GoatCounter handles that data.
Why we are allowed to use your data
- Replying to your email: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- Client work: performing the agreement or proposal for that work.
How long we keep it
We keep your email for as long as we need it to reply and to run any work that follows, then delete it. If you become a client, we keep the correspondence and the records of the work for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- give you your data in a portable form.
To use any of these rights, email us at the address below. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom, or, if you are in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.
